This is an automation that creates a daily "Agent of the Day" X Post from our template library, you can easily customize it to your specific needs. It scrapes a website for content, uses an AI to generate a social media post about a randomly selected item, posts it to X (formerly Twitter), and sends a notification to a Slack channel.
This agent acts as your automated social media content manager, perfect for creating "Item of the Day" style posts. Here’s how it works:
- Navigates & Scrapes: The agent begins by visiting a specified webpage (by default, the Airtop templates page) to find content.
- Extracts & Selects: It intelligently scans the page to extract a list of all available items, such as products, articles, or listings. It then randomly selects one item from this list to feature.
- Gathers Details: The agent visits the selected item's detail page to gather more information, like its description, purpose, and features.
- Generates Post: Using this information, the agent leverages an LLM to craft a compelling social media post, adhering to a specified tone and character limit.
- Posts to Social Media: It logs into X.com, types out the generated message, and publishes the post.
- Notifies You: Finally, it sends a confirmation message to a designated Slack channel, letting you know that the post has been published successfully.
